Hi, I’m Adele Fairbairn , freelance fashion designer uk based in Glossop, just outside Manchester — one of the UK’s most influential fashion cities and the birthplace of Vivienne Westwood. Fashion has always been at the heart of what I do, and I’m passionate about helping brands turn ideas into beautifully designed, production-ready collections.

With over 15 years of experience in the fashion industry, I bring both creativity and real-world industry knowledge to every project. I graduated in 2010 from the University for the Creative Arts with a degree in Fashion Design, and since then I’ve worked with well-established UK fashion brands as well as exciting fashion startups worldwide.

My Experience as a Freelance Fashion Designer

Throughout my career, I’ve designed across menswear and womenswear, working on a wide range of multi-product collections. I understand the full design process — from initial concept and mood boards through to technical design, factory communication, and production.

I have hands-on experience working with clothing manufacturers and factories in China, Bangladesh, Turkey, and Vietnam, giving me a strong understanding of global production, fit, quality control, and cost efficiency. This allows me to support my clients not just creatively, but strategically too.
